Trading Standards are warning holidaymakers to be on alert whilst traveling abroad, for salespeople pressuring people into buying timeshares and holiday products, which could lead to people being parted with thousands of pounds of their hard earned cash.

Trading standards have seen a growing number of complaints from holidaymakers, regarding timeshare sales, holiday clubs, timeshare resale and timeshare exit companies. Mary Isherwood died during a stay at her family owned timeshare, at the Las Talgarth Holiday complex in Wales.

An inquest heard how Mary Isherwood dies from hypothermia after getting lost while going to the toilet in the middle of the night and getting trapped in the airing cupboard when the door-handle came off.

Travel industry launched a merciless legal fightback after epidemic of false sickness claims by Brits, has cost hoteliers hundreds of millions of pounds.

 

The problem has become so out of control the travel industry even threatened to end the all-inclusive package holiday for Brits wishing to book them.

A 500% increase in sickness claims between 2013 and 2016 by British holidaymakers prompted the revolt by hoteliers, who threatened to withdraw the all-inclusive package from the UK market.
