Billion dollar lawsuit filed against Diamond Resorts International

There have been many judgements entered against companies for the sale of timeshare products. The majority of cases have, thus far, been issued within Spain. So far, the Supreme Court are said to have made 42 rulings in timeshare release matters.

It has cost the industry significantly. All this because, for years, companies have ignored the laws put into place in 1999 relating to timeshare products, which are there to protect the consumer. However, this now pales into insignificance with the latest lawsuit in America.

Contract Changes for Anfi Timeshare

According to reports online, timeshare contracts sold by Anfi have been under some scrutiny over the past months. It is reported that this has caused losses for the company.

In June 2017, a General Meeting was said to have been held for timeshare owners based in sunny Gran Canaria with Anfi. The main focus of this meeting being the 50 year maximum contract length.

American President to shake up timeshare in America?

It has been said, that American President Donald Trump is set to shake up the timeshare industry for developers and owners in 2017.

During Donald Trump’s campaign, he adopted a promise to increase funding for a federal agency — the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are currently investigating numerous industries, one of which is believed to be the timeshare company, Westgate Resorts.

Has TATOC Gone Into Administration?

News hit the internet in May 2017 that TATOC “The Association of Timeshare Owners Committees Limited” went into administration. In reviewing material posted online, TATOC appeared to lose the support of some of the industries well known resorts such as Silverpoint and RDO.

TATOC were said to previously have worked alongside the Citizens Advice Bureau, who, as part of their service, refer clients to companies who will assist in timeshare termination or who offer similar services.

Has Silverpoint Changed It’s Name to Signallia?

From information posted online, Silverpoint have changed their name to Signallia.

Having looked at the Club Paridiso website, it promotes their Concierge service. Should you wish to contact the team at Club Paridiso, you will need to write to Signallia Group DMCC, Dubai.

It appears that Club Paridiso/Signallia, are stepping away from selling timeshare and are moving into the Concierge/lifestyle market. From watching the promotional video on their website, they are selling luxurious holidays with the additional Concierge service.

Costa Del Sol Timeshare Scam!

News broke that up to 36 Brits have been arrested in Spain, following their alleged participation in a scam which resulted in 500 people losing an estimated £15million. Many of the victims are believed to be from the UK and most paid between £500.00 and £2,700.00 to the company based in Malaga.

Police confirmed to another source that the suspects are said to have been using fictional information when approaching customers and offering them a holiday package, whilst also trying to sell their existing timeshares to other possible buyers.
