Bluegreen vacations has opened the doors to its 2nd timeshare resort in New Orleans.
Bluegreen Vacations already offers La Pension, a boutique hotel located in the centre of New Orleans. However, the latest resort is in stark contrast, The Marque brings both history and modern technology together to create a unique experience for timeshare owners.
The Marquee will offer Bluegreen timeshare members an ‘immersive guest experience’, using augmented reality, this is the first time a timeshare resort has implemented this type of technology.
The property itself offers an owner’s lounge, where members can relax with a drink, play pool and watch TV. There is also a rooftop pool with a view overlooking New Orleans and a state of the art gym.
What is Augmented Reality?
Augmented Reality is a technology that takes the world around you and adds virtual content on top, it gives the user an enhanced interactive view, and provides a more tailored experience. Guests at the Marquee will be able to download the Bluegreen Vacations mobile app and point their phones or tablets at certain elements in the guest rooms, triggering Augmented Reality characters to come to life. The AR characters will tell stories about New Orleans, and guest names will be dynamically displayed as featured characters on the storytelling script on the walls of the lobby.
Bluegreen Vacations operates a flexible point-based system, and owners can choose from more than 40 destinations across America and the Caribbean. Bluegreen also has an affiliation with RCI, meaning members can access an even bigger catalogue of properties all over the world. However, Bluegreen is giving new customers the option to purchase timeshare units at the Marquee and has 90 1 and 2 bedroom villas up for sale.
Bluegreen Vacation club is a points-based, deeded vacation ownership program, which connects over 212,000 owners with 69 Club and Club Associate Resorts and has access to more than 11,000 other hotels and resorts through partnerships and exchange networks. Bluegreen business model is firmly set on the next generation of travellers, by targeting millennials with unique experience packages. Millennials may love to travel but timeshare doesn’t exactly fit with a generation who value freedom, flexibility and minimal commitment.
People who enter into Timeshare agreements often find it difficult to keep up with the mounting maintenance fees and simply cannot afford it any longer. They may also find that the Timeshare no longer suits their needs and simply want to end the contract. There are too many individuals who are willing to take advantage of Timeshare owners and offer fake products, along with timeshare exit schemes. Before agreeing to any Timeshare termination or exit procedure with an individual or company, seek independent advice and fully research any company you are thinking of working with.
It is also important to remember that purchasing a Timeshare should NEVER be viewed as a financial investment. Timeshare is an investment in lifestyle, in future holidays and family time together. There is almost no resale value to a Timeshare.
The mis-selling of holiday products is, unfortunately, common practice within the holiday industry and these type of crimes often go unreported by the most vulnerable in our society and criminal convictions are few and far between.
If you have purchased a Lifestyle / Concierge Service, a Timeshare or a ‘Holiday Points’ based product from a resort or company and feel unhappy with the service, or feel you have been mis-sold this product, please get in touch with us to discuss how we may be able to help you with a possible timeshare termination.
