Another Successful Timeshare Termination

Its estimated that around 600,000 people own timeshare or holiday club memberships in the UK. Getting out of contracts can be difficult, time consuming and costly.

Praetorian Legal provide our clients with a fully guaranteed, cost effective timeshare termination service. We have saved our clients over £3,700,000 in maintenance fees and have dissolved thousands of contracts.

Many of our clients have experienced years of worry and stress due to their timeshare burden and it is extremely fulfilling to help so many put an end to their nightmare experiences with timeshare resorts.

Today we have the  pleasure of sharing with you, yet another successful timeshare termination. Praetorian Legal have successfully negotiated our clients timeshare termination and they have received a full refund of all the money they paid to the timeshare resort.

Whilst holidaying in Tenerife in 2011, our clients were approached by a timeshare sales representative, who offered them the opportunity to upgrade their timeshare for a small fee. He offered them a trade-in price for their original timeshare of €6,000, they would only have to pay €4,000 and they would gain a substantially improved resort and additional benefits. One of these perks would be a reduced non-usage fee, this would mean that for any of the years where they did not use their timeshare they would only have to pay €50.

Our clients thought this was a much better option, as previously, they had to pay maintenance fees of around €400 even if they didn’t visit the resort. Needless to say this is not what transpired. On their fourth year of ownership the non-usage fee rose to €200, this was far and above the €50 they were promised.

Furthermore, our clients were persuaded to trade in their timeshare, to get out of the expensive fees. Instead they were left with mounting maintenance costs, a timeshare they didn’t want and a lot of stress. Eventually they contacted Praetorian Legal after being recommended by a friend, and thankfully for our clients we can say they have a successful resolution to their nightmare timeshare experience.

“Perseverance pays, this has been going on for a long time. The first time it was rejected by the bank and we thought we had lost our money. It was a very pleasant surprise to get our money back and have a positive outcome. Praetorian Legal have been on our side right from the start and they haven’t given up. It would have fizzled out if Praetorian hadn’t persevered. We are very pleased with the outcome”.

People who enter into Timeshare agreements often find it difficult to keep up with the mounting maintenance fees and simply cannot afford it any longer. They may also find that the Timeshare no longer suits their needs and simply want to end the contract. There are too many individuals who are willing to take advantage of Timeshare owners and offer fake products, along with Timeshare exit schemes. Before agreeing to any Timeshare termination or exit procedure with an individual or company, seek independent advice and fully research any company you are thinking of working with.

It is also important to remember that purchasing a Timeshare should NEVER be viewed as a financial investment. Timeshare is an investment in lifestyle, in future holidays and family time together. There is almost no resale value to a Timeshare.

The mis-selling of holiday products is, unfortunately, common practice within the holiday industry and these type of crimes often go unreported by the most exposed in our society and criminal convictions are few and far between.

If you have purchased a Lifestyle / Concierge Service, a Timeshare or a ‘Holiday Points’ based product from a resort or company and feel unhappy with the service, or feel you have been mis-sold this product, please get in touch with us to discuss how we may be able to help you with a possible Timeshare Termination.
