Another Successful Claim

The team here at Praetorian Legal have been enjoying some great success recently due to the hard work put in by our timeshare experts. Making a claim against a timeshare resorts is not an easy task and sometimes can take a longer than it should, mainly due to obstructive resorts, but worst of all it can be a stressful process to go through for anyone wanting an end to the whole ordeal, especially if they have been mis-sold in a deceptive and financially taxing way.

This has been the case for many of our clients who purchased at Silverpoint resorts using Barclays Partner finance to fund it. Our most recent successful claim comes from a family who entered into an agreement with Silverpoint after being invited to accept a discounted holiday offer. Just like anything in life, nothing comes for free and our clients were not aware Silverpoint expected them to attend a long sales presentation. In fact, it lasted for eleven hours in total, during which time they were subjected to incredibly high-pressure sales tactics and were not even given time to discuss this important financial decision alone. Instead, they were bombarded with offers and details about how this purchase was an incredible investment and they would be better off in the long run. At one point our clients even attempted to leave the presentation and felt they had been hoodwinked and coerced into attending it. The sales pitch continued for several more hours.

During this presentation, our clients were told their initial purchase would be an investment for them and the timeshare properties could be sold back at any time for a profit. As an inducement, Silverpoint offered to pay the client an upfront sum of a few thousand pounds to cover the cost of the loan they would have to take out with Barclays Partner Finance. After the relentless selling our clients agreed to sign up. Needless to say, the sales of the timeshare units did not happen, and our clients were left paying for a high interest loan for a timeshare that they could not use and did not want.

Thankfully to the hard work and efforts of the legal team here at Praetorian and the detailed evidence our clients were able to give us we were successful in putting forward our argument and getting all their money plus interest.
